The Myanmar Women’s National Futsal Team has selected a preliminary squad of 19 players to compete in the qualifiers for the 2025 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship.
The Myanmar Football Federation has made changes to the team’s leadership, appointing Thai national Banlert Chaivon as the new head coach, replacing U Htay Myint. The squad consists of 11 coaching staff and 19 players, with Banlert Chaivon overseeing the team. Key players include goalkeeper Chaw Sandi Aung, as well as skilful players such as May Thet Paing, Khin Moe Wai, and Thu Zar Lwin. The team is scheduled to begin training on 15 December.
The AFC Women’s Futsal Championship qualifiers will be held in the second week of January, with Group D matches taking place from 15 to 19 January in Yangon. Myanmar will play against Vietnam, Chinese Taipei, and Macau in the group stage. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
