Kanpur: Allen House Public School, North West Sports Academy, Allen House Panki and Heilyser Border defeated their rival teams and reached the semi-finals on the opening day of Shanti Devi Shukla Memorial Futsal championship at the TSH court on Friday.
Allen House Public School, in the first quarter-final, overwhelmed National Sports Club Shieling House by 3-1. Pulkit Agarwal was designated as the best player of the match. In subsequent quarter-finals, North West Sports Academy prevailed over Heilyser Sports Academy, Allen House School Panki triumphed against Deen Dayal School by 3-2 and Heilyser Border bested Army Public School.
In the preliminary round matches, Allen House Khalasi Line defeated National Sports Club Red Shieling House, Hayliser Sports Academy overcame Army Sports Academy, National English Medium School dominated North West Academy by 9-1, Deen Dayal prevailed over United Public School by 5-1, Allen House Public School Khalasi Line surpassed Birsa Munda Hostel by 5-1, Heilyser Border outclassed National Sports Academy Halim Muslim School by 7-1. tnn
