
The runners-up were Kg Selamat Team, while third place was shared by the Kg Jaya Baru and Taman Sri Idaman Teams.
The programme organised by Safa Kunak was made possible by the F2 Futsal Court held at the F2 Pekan Kunak Futsal Court.
Safa Kunak Chairman, Dato’ Sri Anil Sandhu said 18 teams participated in the competition with the objective of encouraging youth to be active in futsal sports activities which are now a choice among the younger generation.
“Apart from unearthing talents among the youth, futsal is also seen as a platform to strengthen relationships and instil sportsmanship among young participants,” he told Daily Express.
The champions brought home a cash prize of RM1,000, a trophy and medals, the runners-up RM700 cash, a trophy and medals while third place brought a cash prize of RM300 and medals.
The tournament also awarded the best goalkeeper, top scorer and best player.
