Organized by The Football Association of Hong Kong, China (HKFA), with The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust as the major partner, subvented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and supported by The Schools Sports Federation of Hong Kong, China; 2023-24 Jockey Club Futsal Cup (School Division) – Higher Education Division wrapped up over a thrilling event on July 13 at Mong Kok MacPherson Playground.
In the Mens’ U25 final between The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University took an early lead with a stunning free-kick by Tseng Coo. Despite a relentless attack from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, a crucial midfield interception and subsequent goal by Lee Lok Him extended the lead to 2:0. Although Choi Yik San managed to score from a tight angle before the final whistle, it was not enough, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University clinched the title with a 2:1 victory.
In the Womens’ U25 final, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University faced City University of Hong Kong. City University took the lead with a follow-up strike by Loo Lam Lam, but The Hong Kong Polytechnic University equalized with a powerful shot by Chan Yee Hing. A narrow-angle goal by Lau Hoi Ching put The Hong Kong Polytechnic University ahead later, and although City University leveled the score in 2:2 with a penalty by Tsang Lai Mae Halasan, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University triumphed 5:4 in the penalty shootout to win the championship.
