CHICAGO – Michigan Tech soccer veteran midfielder Kiersen Korienek has been named to the U.S. Women’s Futsal National final training camp roster, which was announced Thursday.
Women’s Futsal National Team head coach Diego Burato has called up 19 players for the team’s domestic training camp to take place April 1-6 at the Darlington School in Rome, Georgia.
Of the 19 players called to the April camp roster, she is the lone Pivo (Target/Forward) to not previously compete with the Futsal National team in the February Friendlies against Costa Rica.
The camp is the final before a 14-player selection is made to complete the roster for the inaugural Concacaf W Futsal Championship to be held April 28-May 4 in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
Korienek, a native of Grandville, Michigan, has logged 46 games making 11 starts, 10 of which came in the 2024 season. She recorded a career-high 38 shots landing 14 shots on goal while scoring two game-winning goals for a total of four goals a season ago.
